Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 5 September 2022: MwareTV, a leading cloud-based multi-tenant platform provider, will demonstrate at IBC2022 (Amsterdam RAI, 9 – 12 September, stand 5.D60) just how simple and practical it is to establish and deliver OTT and IPTV services. The latest version of the core TV management system (TVMS) includes a new App Builder which allows anyone to design a completely tailored and branded experience on any device.

The cloud-hosted IPTV OTT service from MwareTV provides all the functionality needed, from content acquisition to delivery, including apps for multiple platforms. With the App Builder you can now create user experiences with absolutely zero programming knowledge.

MwareTV’s App Builder supports all the common platforms, including iOS, Android and AndroidTV, TVOS, FireTV, WebOS, Tizen, WebTV and Lightning Framework enabled devices. There are templates to get users started, with the ability to modify them completely, with 9 menu types, 33 home page widgets and a practically unlimited number of set-ups. All of this can be individually styled and branded for the look and feel you need, this paired with strong underlying functionality like extended metadata, recommendations and series linking, and automated parental control.

“There are template-based systems on the market, and white label apps,” said MwareTV CEO Sander Kerstens. “What we are offering is completely unique – a way of building an app with absolutely no need for programming knowledge and no need to code at all. This is completely transformative, whether you are a telco building a national streaming service or a community group offering local facilities inside a residential building: now you can provide exactly the features you want to give your subscribers, and have it look exactly the way you want.”

The broader updates to the TVMS include a redesign of the user interface to make it even more intuitive, as well as taking full advantage of the cloud hosting for scalability, reliability, access from anywhere and the lowest possible total cost of ownership (TCO). To help users build more engaging content, the system now allows direct connection from security cameras: where MwareTV is used to providing a complete television service for an apartment complex, residents can now view communal security cameras as a channel in the package.

Services can include live television, catch-up and cloud PVR functionality as well as the playout of recorded content. In some geographies, MwareTV has a licensing partner which gives users a one-stop shop for a complete set of channels including all content as well as the delivery technology. The latest version of the TVMS permits the local insertion of podcasts, allowing operators to create their own additional catalogue, accessible through the OTT service.

“Our market proposition of providing simple access to all the functionality and facilities you need to create a complete OTT service has proved extremely popular around the world,” Kerstens added. “Whether you’re an ISP or telco looking to add value, a house of worship or sports group looking to extend its reach, or a residential community looking to ensure everyone has access to media without adding additional connections and devices, MwareTV is the simplest, fastest and most secure way to get online and live.”

In the space of a short conversation at IBC2022, the MwareTV team can create an outline offering from look and feel to business case. Talk to them on stand 5.D60.
